MRC Promotes Rubber Automotive Components in AAPEX

MRC participated in AAPEX from 1 - 3 November 2022 at The Venetian Expo, Las Vegas, USA. MRC Malaysia Pavilion housed five Malaysian rubber product companies, namely Fudex, Toyopower, Malcorp, Tekmedic and Supermax. MRC and the Malaysian companies showcased high-quality Made in Malaysia rubber automotive components as well as industrial gloves during the exhibition.

MRC booth received encouraging number of visitors and enquiries throughout the three-day event. MRC also facilitated business matching sessions between potential buyers and the Malaysian companies on-site.

MRC’s presence at AAPEX was further amplified by the prominent column wrap advertisement and floor decal to further promote Made in Malaysia rubber automotive components and garnered visitors’ footfall to the MRC Malaysia Pavilion. The next edition of AAPEX is scheduled to be held from 31 October – 2 November 2023 at the same venue.

Specialised Mission on Engineered Rubber Products to Turkey

Recognising the huge market potentials for the High-Damping Natural Rubber Bearings (HDNRB) in Turkey, MRC will once again organise a Specialised Mission on Engineered Rubber Products to Turkey from 26 November - 1 December 2022. This is part of MRC’s ongoing efforts to increase awareness and educate engineers, consultants in the civil, structural and constructions sectors as well as civil engineering students in Turkey on base isolation, particularly on the High-Damping Natural Rubber Bearings. The programme, which will be held in the city of Istanbul, will include meetings with construction companies as well as a seminar on "Risk Mitigation Against Earthquakes Through High Damping Technology". MRC will also arrange business matching sessions between participating Malaysian manufacturers and Turkish companies that are interested to source quality engineered rubber products from Malaysia.

MRC Organizes International Webinar on Managing Infection Control in Indonesia - Selecting the Right Gloves

MRC has successfully organized its third international webinar on 8 November 2022. Titled Managing Infection Control in Indonesia – Selecting the Right Gloves, the webinar was specially designed to cater the Indonesian market and received participation from various hospitals and universities in Indonesia. The webinar featured industry experts from Indonesia and Malaysia that highlighted on the development of infection control in a healthcare setting as well as creating awareness on the importance of proper use of medical gloves. The programme was supported by two leading organisations in Indonesia for healthcare and infection control, namely the Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI) and Indonesian Society of Infection Control (PERDALIN).

Working Visit to Indonesia on Precured Treads

MRC will organise a working visit on precured treads to Indonesia from 15 – 18 November 2022. The working visit will focus on possible cooperation between Malaysian precured tread manufacturers and Indonesian tyre retreaders, importers and distributors. Several meetings in Greater Jakarta have been arranged to explore new business opportunities for Malaysian manufacturers in the precured tread market in Indonesia. The meetings will also provide a good platform for MRC to promote quality precured treads and retreading materials from Malaysia.

Promotion of Rubber Automotive Components in Vietnam

MRC participated in the International Autotech and Accessories exhibition held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 27 – 30 October 2022. The show brought together Vietnamese and foreign businesses in the automotive, motorcycle, electric vehicle and the supporting industries. The show introduced high-quality and breakthrough products to the visitors such as specialized vehicles, equipment for electric vehicles, automotive spare parts and components, accessories and customization, products for vehicle repair as well as maintenance. A total of 92 exhibitors from five countries participated in the show. MRC had showcased high-quality Made in Malaysia rubber automotive components at the booth and received encouraging number of enquiries especially on the belting and hoses.

MRC's International Webinar on Managing Infection Control in Indonesia - Selecting the Right Gloves

MRC will organise its third international webinar on 8 November 2022. The half day webinar entitled "Managing Infection Control in Indonesia – Selecting the Right Gloves", is specially designed to cater towards the Indonesian market. This webinar presents an excellent opportunity for professional and healthcare medical practitioners, professors, and students from universities, relevant organizations and regulatory authorities, to know more on the development of infection control in a healthcare setting and to create awareness on the importance of proper use of medical gloves for infection control. The webinar, which will feature industry experts on the subject matter from both the Indonesia and Malaysia is supported by two leading organisations in Indonesia for healthcare and infection control, namely the Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI) and Indonesian Society of Infection Control (PERDALIN).

MRC to Participate in the World's Largest Medical Trade Fair in Germany

MRC will be leading four Malaysian rubber medical devices (RMD) manufacturers to participate in MEDICA from 14 – 17 November 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany. There are also 24 Malaysian RMD manufacturers who will be participating on their own at the show. MEDICA is the world’s largest annual event for the medical sector. A total of 45,000 visitors came to visit 3,500 exhibitors in MEDICA last year. With the good number of visitors and exhibitors from previous exhibition, we are expected to have more visitors and exhibitors participating this year. A series of targeted forums and conferences will also be organized concurrently with the exhibition. MRC Promotes Rubber Medical Devices in Pakistan

MRC participated in the Health Asia International Exhibition and Conferences for the first time at the Karachi Expo Centre, Karachi, Pakistan from 13-15 October 2022. The 19th edition of the three-day event attracted over 20,000 visitors and 118 exhibitors from 10 countries.

MRC’s promotional booth showcased a wide array of Made in Malaysia quality rubber medical devices such as medical gloves, catheters and condoms. MRC received encouraging number of trade enquiries throughout the event. Most of the enquiries were on latex examination gloves, nitrile examination gloves and surgical gloves. A prominent banner was placed at the main atrium of Hall 2 to further promote Malaysia as the source of quality rubber medical devices as well as to garner more visitor’s footfall to MRC’s booth.

The Consul General of Malaysia to Karachi, Mr Herman Hardynata and the Minister of Health and Population Welfare of the Sindh Province, Dr Azra Palijo had also visited MRC's booth during the show.

The next edition of Health Asia (Karachi) will be held from 19 – 21 October 2023.

MRC Explores Market Opportunities for Engineered Rubber Products in Egypt

The Malaysian Rubber Council successfully carried out a working visit to Egypt from 22-26 October 2022 to tap into the potential market in Egypt for Made in Malaysia engineered rubber products. The delegation, which included participating manufacturer Kumpulan Jebco met with several leading Egyptian construction companies, namely The Arab Contractors, Orascom Construction and Hassan Allam Construction as well as Kader Factory for Development Industry, a contractor and manufacturer for Egypt's military and civil sectors. The delegates also paid a courtesy visit to the Malaysian Embassy in Egypt for a brief discussion with the Ambassador, His Excellency Zamani Ismail on the opportunities for Made in Malaysia rubber products in Egypt.

MRC to Participate in America's Premier Automotive Aftermarket Show

MRC will be leading five Malaysian rubber product manufacturers to participate in AAPEX. AAPEX is an exhibition that represents over US$1.8 trillion global automotive aftermarket industry. The show will take place at The Venetian Expo, Las Vegas, USA from 1 - 3 November 2022.

AAPEX is expected to gather around 1,400 exhibitors and receive over 49,000 visitors from all over the world. MRC Organizes International Webinar Promoting Seismic Bearings and Engineered Rubber Products for the Philippines Market

MRC has successfully organized its second international webinar on 19 October 2022 entitled “Base Isolation Method to Protect Lives and Structures in the Philippines”, which was specially designed to cater towards the Philippines market. The webinar was attended by 229 participants from government authorities, associations, engineers, consultants, as well as engineering students from several leading universities in the Philippines. The webinar featured industry experts from the Philippines as well as from Malaysia. A total of four papers had been presented by the international speakers during the webinar. The topics covered in the webinar included the use of base isolation and High-Damping Natural Rubber Bearings (HDNRB) technology to mitigate the impact of earthquakes as well as other engineered rubber products for various applications such as construction, marine, railway, and mining. This webinar was supported by several esteemed organizations in the Philippines, namely the Philippines Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), De La Salle University, Center for Engineering Sustainable Development Research (CESDR), the research arm of De La Salle College of Engineering and Geohazard Structural Earthquake Engineering Design (GEOSEED).

Promotion of Rubber Automotive Components in EVM Asia

MRC has successfully participated in the EVM Asia exhibition from 27 – 29 September 2022 at the Malaysian International Exhibition and Trade Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. The show was held in conjunction with Smart Nation Expo which showcased EV, Smart Mobility, Parts & Components and Technology. The show gathered over 13,000 visitors and 585 exhibitors from 18 countries during its three-day event. MRC promotional booth showcased Made in Malaysia quality rubber automotive components such as weatherstrips, grommet, CV boots, and seals. Two rubber automotive component manufacturers participated on their own, namely Kossan Industries and Kumpulan Jebco. The next edition of EVM Asia will be held from 19 - 21 September 2023.

MRC Promotes Rubber Automotive Components in Automechanika Frankfurt

MRC has concluded another successful participation in the world’s leading trade fair for the automotive service industry, Automechanika Frankfurt together with three Malaysian manufacturers and exporters. The biennial show was held from 13 - 17 September 2022 in Frankfurt, Germany.

The MRC Malaysia Pavilion received visitors from over 30 countries who were mostly from Europe and Middle East regions that intended to source for industrial gloves and moulded rubber parts from Malaysia. MRC also facilitated business matching sessions for Malaysian rubber automotive component companies with potential buyers throughout the show. A mega poster at the main hall facade and floor graphics had been put up to further promote Made in Malaysia rubber automotive components at the show.

The Consul General of Malaysia to Germany, Mr Farzamie Sarkawi and the Trade Commissioner from MATRADE Frankfurt, Ms Zuhaila Sedek visited MRC Malaysia Pavilion and had discussion with participating Malaysian companies.

The next edition of Automechanika Frankfurt will be held from 10 – 14 September 2024.

Tender Briefing on Booth Design and Construction of MRC Pavilion at Arab Health 2023

The Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC) invites Malaysian contractors to participate in a tender briefing on booth design and construction of MRC pavilion at Arab Health 2023.

Only prequalified booth contractors are eligible to participate in the tender briefing. The criteria for Prequalification of Booth Contractors are as follows:-

• Must be a registered company with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM)


• Company must be established for at least 3 years


• At least 2 years of experience in handling international trade shows


• Experience in designing and constructing custom-made booths in at least 6 projects for international trade shows


• Not suspended from participating in the booth construction and design tenders by MRC

MRC to Participate for the First Time in Health Asia Pakistan

MRC will be participating for the first time in the 19th edition of Health Asia International Exhibition and Conferences which will be held at the Karachi Expo Centre, Karachi, Pakistan from 13 - 15 October 2022.

Health Asia is the biggest annual health medical industry event in Pakistan which is expected to attract over 70,000 visitors this year. The show is the only Ufi’s approved (Global Association of Exhibition Industry) health sector event in Pakistan. The event enjoys extensive support from the Pakistan’s Ministry of Health, relevant Government departments and officials, medical societies and government/private medical institutes.

MRC to Promote Rubber Automotive Components in EVM Asia Expo

MRC will be participating in Asia’s first international exhibition dedicated for manufacturing of electric, hybrid and autonomous vehicles, known as EVM Asia. EVM Asia is an inaugural exhibition promoting electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in Malaysia, with the theme “Powering the Future of Sustainable Mobility”. The expo is scheduled to be held from 27-29 September 2022 at the Malaysian International Exhibition and Trade Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur.

The show is held in partnership with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MOSTI), Malaysian Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), Electric Vehicles Association of Malaysia (EVAM) and Malaysian Electric Vehicles Owners’ Club (MyEVOC). The expo will bring together automotive manufacturers, assemblers and vendors across the region to gather latest insights on electric vehicles manufacturing innovations, components, software and systems for navigation, safety and many others.

MRC Successfully Co-Hosted 10th IRGCE + IRICE 2022

The Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC) has successfully co-hosted the 10th International Rubber Glove Conference and Exhibition (IRGCE) and International Rubber Industry Convention and Expo (IRICE), which were held concurrently from 6 – 8 September 2022 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. IRGCE, which was organized by the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA), has successfully gathered 268 exhibitors from 17 countries. This year’s conference with the theme “Breaking Boundaries: Game Changing Initiatives” also received 915 participants. While IRICE which was organized by the Malaysian Rubber Products Manufacturers Association (MRPMA) has gathered 64 exhibitors that showcased the processing, manufacturing and developments related to rubber industry, particularly dry rubber products.

MRC showcased a wide array of rubber products from different sectors during the exhibition. In conjunction with the events, MRC has also organized a business matching programme known as the MRC Global Sourcing Mission (GSM), both physical and online from 6 – 7 September 2022. A total of 112 meetings have been successfully conducted between 25 international potential buyers and 20 Malaysian manufacturers. The MRC Career Talks, which is a two-day event, was held on 6 – 7 September 2022 and gathered 400 students from 32 local and public learning institutions. The programme has successfully generated interest from the student to explore their career in the rubber product industry.

MRC Leads Malaysian Manufacturers to Explore Opportunities for Latex Foam and Mattresses in the United States

MRC organized a working visit on latex foam and mattresses to the United States from 20 – 27 August 2022. Led by MRC’s CEO, Mr Nor Hizwan Ahmad, the programme covered the cities of Los Angeles and New York. Three Malaysian manufacturers and exporters participated in the programme, namely Getha (1969) Sdn Bhd, LSK Mattressworld Sdn Bhd and LSK Napure Latex Sdn Bhd. During the visit, the delegates met and visited eleven American mattress manufacturers, retailers and related association such as Latexpedic, Comfort Bedding Manufacturing, Milkmen Foam, Royal Pedic, Casper Sleep, 911Beds, Shifman Mattress Company, LA Mattress, Naturepedic, Mattress Central, and International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA). In addition, the delegation also met with the Malaysian Consul General in Los Angeles and New York as well as MATRADE officers in both cities. Through the visit, MRC successfully promoted quality made in Malaysia latex foam and mattresses and created business connections for Malaysian companies to potentially export latex foam and mattresses to the United States.

Continuing efforts to promote quality rubber products from Malaysia, MRC will be leading three (3) Malaysian manufacturers and exporters to participate in Automechanika Frankfurt, the world’s leading trade fair for the automotive service industry since its establishment in 1971.

The show will take place in Frankfurt, Germany from 13 - 17 September 2022. The show serves as a global meeting platform for the manufacturing industry, repair shops and automotive trade which represents the entire value chain of the automotive aftermarket. This international automotive aftermarket show is expected to attract over 2,800 exhibitors from around 70 countries this year.

MRC Co-Hosting 10th IRGCE + IRICE 2022

The Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC) is co-hosting the 10th International Rubber Glove Conference and Exhibition (IRGCE) and International Rubber Industry Convention and Expo (IRICE) 2022, which will be held concurrently from 6 – 8 September 2022 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

With this year’s theme, Breaking Boundaries: Game Changing Initiatives, IRGCE has set once again its trademark conference which will feature the latest innovations, developments, and trends within the medical rubber gloves as well as the personal protective equipment. IRGCE is organized by the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA). This year’s edition is expected to attract 10,000 visitors and 300 exhibitors.

While IRICE, organized by the Malaysian Rubber Products Manufacturers Association (MRPMA), aims to define the opportunities and address the challenges faced by the Malaysian rubber industry players. This platform is targeted to attract 70 exhibitors and 2,000 visitors and has been designed to facilitate knowledge sharing amongst the industry members.

MRC will be participating in the exhibition to promote Made in Malaysia quality rubber products. A wide array of rubber products from different sectors will be showcased at the MRC promotional booth. In conjunction with the event, MRC will also organize a business matching programme known as the MRC Global Sourcing Mission (GSM), both physical and online from 6 – 7 September 2022. This programme has been arranged to assist Malaysian manufacturers to explore business opportunities with international buyers.

There is also Career Talks organized by MRC for students from local and public learning institutions during the event. The main objective of this activity is to inform the students on career opportunities offered by the Malaysian rubber product industry. MRC Successfully Linked International Buyers with Malaysian Manufacturers Through Online Business Matching

MRC has recently concluded the online business matching programme, namely the e-Global Sourcing Mission (e-GSM) from 26 - 28 July 2022. The e-GSM is a business matching programme organized by MRC through online since 2020 to further facilitate the export of Made in Malaysia rubber products. This time the programme had successfully linked 20 international buyers with 15 Malaysian rubber product manufacturers and exporters. A total of 41 online meetings had been arranged. Majority of the buyers were from China, India, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Germany and Turkey. The buyers were interested to source Made in Malaysia quality rubber products, including rubber automotive components, engineered rubber products, precured treads and retreading materials, specialty rubber materials (green rubber) and rubber medical devices.

MRC Co-Organized MIACES Successfully

The Malaysia International Agricommodity Expo and Summit (MIACES) was successfully organised from 26 – 28 July 2022 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. MIACES, Malaysia’s premier agricommodity expo was organised by the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities (MPIC) and co-organised by its three councils, namely Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC), Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) and Malaysian Timber Council (MTC). The show gathered more than 10,000 visitors and 350 companies from 39 countries during its three-day event. YAB Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob officiated the opening ceremony together with YB Datuk Hajah Zuraida Kamaruddin, Minister of MPIC on 26 July 2022.

As the event’s co-organiser, MRC has an attractive promotional booth in MIACES exhibition hall which showcased a wide variety of rubber products from different sectors and highlighted the services offered by MRC. Latex painting demonstrated by a professional artist at MRC booth has attracted the visitors to explore more about green rubber material.

With the theme of ‘Advancing the Rubber Industry in a Sustainable Ecosystem’, MRC has organised a seminar breakout session which highlighted on the importance of advancing and empowering the rubber sector in a sustainable way without compromising on the ecosystem. About 140 participants attended the session.

MRC has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the development of aerospace balloon made from rubber and graphene with Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB), Meditech Gloves, Levidian Nanosystems and Cranfield University. A Letter of Intent (LOI) has also been signed between MRC, MPOC, MTC and Aim Vision Limited to explore the possibility on setting up an integrated office in Bangladesh to further promote Made in Malaysia agricommodity products.

The Malaysia International Agricommodity Awards (MIACA) was also held in conjunction with MIACES. The award winners for rubber sector were Associated First Rubber which has won the Best Agricommodity Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise of the Year (Rubber) while Geomax Rubber Innovative Products won the award for Best Agricommodity Start-Up of the Year (Rubber).

Promotion of Made in Malaysia Cleanroom Gloves in Asia’s Leading Pharmaceutical Exhibition

MRC has successfully participated in Interphex Japan from 13-15 July 2022 at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo, Japan. The show is the leading pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturing exhibition in Asia. The MRC Umbrella-Concept booth housed three Malaysian rubber product companies namely ASAP International, Bonric as well as TCS Quality and Productivity. MRC and Malaysian manufacturers showcased cleanroom rubber products such as cleanroom gloves, finger cots and finger stalls during the exhibition.

MRC booth received encouraging number of visitors and enquiries throughout the three-day event. MRC also facilitated business matching sessions between the potential buyers and Malaysian manufacturers on-site.

The Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC) is co-organizing Malaysia’s premier agricommodity expo, the Malaysia International Agricommodity Expo and Summit (MIACES). MIACES will be held from 26 – 28 July 2022 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. The Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities (MPIC) is the main organizer while the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) and Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) are the other two co-organizers of the expo. YAB Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob will be officiating the opening of the event together with YB Datuk Hajah Zuraida Kamaruddin, Minister of MPIC on 26 July 2022.

MIACES is an event that provides a platform to uplift the agricommodity sector and maintaining a sustainable growth in the industry. With the theme “Advancing Agricommodity in Sustainable Ecosystem”, MIACES is expected to gather over 300 exhibitors around the globe to strengthen Malaysia’s position as the international hub for agricommodity activities. MIACES will further fortify Malaysia’s standing as the leading producers of agricommodity product across the world.

A series of activities will be organised including conference, exhibition, roundtable discussions, business-to-business (B2B) meetings, and awards night. The event focuses in bringing all the industry players, producers, investors and other stakeholders together to showcase their products, latest equipment and technology under one roof.

MRC will also organise a seminar on ‘Advancing the Rubber Industry in a Sustainable Ecosystem’ on 26 July 2022 to highlight the importance of advancing and empowering the rubber sector in a sustainable way without compromising the ecosystem. Smart manufacturing, solar energy and blockchain for network data collection will be the essence of the seminar which will be presented by distinguished speakers.

MRC Continues to Promote Made in Malaysia Rubber Products Through Online Business Matching Programme

Continuing the efforts in promoting Made in Malaysia quality rubber products, MRC will organize the sixth edition of the e-Global Sourcing Mission (e-GSM) from 26 - 28 July 2022.

The e-GSM is a programme organized by MRC that offers a safe online platform for global buyers to identify and meet with genuine Malaysian manufacturers to source quality rubber products from Malaysia.

Among the products that are promoted this time including rubber automotive components, engineered rubber products, precured treads and retreading materials as well as specialty rubber materials (green rubber).

A number of potential international buyers, importers, and distributors have confirmed to take part in this programme and will virtually interact with Malaysian manufacturers.

Promotion of Made in Malaysia Precured Treads and Green Rubber at South America's Leading Tyre and Retreading Exhibition

MRC participated in Pneushow, the South America's leading tyre and retreading exhibition from 22 – 24 June 2022 at the Expo Centre Norte, Sao Paulo, Brazil. The show attracted more than 5,000 trade visitors and 155 exhibitors, mainly from South American countries. MRC's promotional booth located at Booth 89 4/O promoted Malaysia as the source for quality precured treads and retreading materials such as cushion gum, camelback, orbitread, repair rope, and sidewall veneer. In addition, industrial gloves, multipurpose gloves, specialty rubber materials (green rubber) including Ekoprena and Pureprena as well as rubber automotive components (RAC) were also displayed at MRC's booth.

MRC placed online banner at Pneushow's website and app as well as logo at giant floor plan located at the entrance of the fairground along with several directional floor stickers situated inside the exhibition hall to further promote the Made in Malaysia precured treads and retreading materials and attracting visitors' footfall to the MRC booth. MRC received a total of 75 enquiries during the three-day event. The next edition of Pneushow will be held from 26 – 28 June 2024.

MRC Promotes PPE Rubber Gloves in the World's Largest Safety and Security Exhibition

MRC has successfully participated in INTERSCHUTZ exhibition which was held from 20-25 June 2022 at the Hannover Fairground, Hannover, Germany. The MRC Malaysia Pavilion housed four Malaysian rubber product companies namely Nastah, ASAP International, TCS Quality and Productivity as well as Tekmedic. MRC and Malaysian manufacturers promoted personal protective equipment (PPE) rubber gloves such as multipurpose gloves, industrial gloves, electrician gloves, food handling gloves and high-risk gloves during the exhibition.
MRC Malaysia Pavilion received encouraging number of visitors of more than 300 people throughout the six-day event. In addition, MRC also facilitated 17 business matching sessions between the potential buyers and Malaysian manufacturers. The Consul General from Consulate General of Malaysia in Frankfurt, Mr Farzamie Sarkawi and the Trade Commissioner from MATRADE Frankfurt, Ms Zuhaila Sedek also visited the MRC Malaysia Pavilion during the event.

MRC’s presence at INTERSCHUTZ was also amplified by the prominent outdoor banner situated at the main entrance of the Hannover Fairground along with the 15,000 printed copies of advertisement distributed at the entrances of the exhibition ground to further promote Made in Malaysia PPE rubber gloves and attracting visitors’ footfall to the MRC Malaysia Pavilion.

The next edition of INTERSCHUTZ is scheduled to be held from 1 - 6 June 2026.

MRC to Lead Malaysian Manufacturers Participating in INTERPHEX Japan

MRC will be leading Malaysian manufacturers to participate in INTERPHEX Japan, which is Japan’s largest and Asia’s leading exhibition for pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturing. The show will take place in Tokyo, Japan from 13 – 15 July 2022.

INTERPHEX Japan is expected to gather around 900 exhibitors across Japan and Asian countries, presenting novel products and solutions in the areas of material processing machinery, packaging machinery and equipment, sterilisers, cleanroom equipment, valves, pumps, components, contract manufacturing, and logistics services and equipment. The show is targeted to receive 40,000 visitors from all over the world. MRC and Malaysian manufacturers will be promoting high quality Made in Malaysia rubber products for cleanroom applications such as cleanroom gloves, finger cots and finger stalls.

MRC Organizes Online Business Matching for Malaysian Manufacturers

MRC has successfully organized online business matching, aptly named the e-Global Sourcing Mission (e-GSM) for the fifth time from 7 – 10 June 2022. MRC through its regional offices in the United States, Europe, India, Middle East, and China assisted to connect 51 international potential buyers with 24 Malaysian manufacturers by coordinating 88 online business matching sessions. The international buyers were from 19 countries, namely Belize, Bosnia Herzegovina, China, Colombia, Egypt, El Salvador, India, Iraq, Lebanon, Mauritania, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, United Arab Emirates and United States. The buyers were interested to source Made in Malaysia quality rubber products such as rubber medical devices, personal protective equipment, as well as latex foam and mattresses.

MRC to Promote Made in Malaysia Precured Treads in South America's Leading Tyre and Retreading Exhibition

MRC to Lead Malaysian Manufacturers Participating in the World’s Largest Safety and Security Exhibition

MRC will be leading Malaysian manufacturers to participate for the first time in Interschutz, the world’s largest trade show for fire and rescue services, civil protection, safety, and security. The show will take place in Hannover, Germany from 20 – 25 June 2022.

As a flagship trade show for personal protective equipment (PPE), Interschutz brings together participants from 50 nations, representing all relevant areas of safety and rescue services. Over 1,200 exhibitors will participate in this showcase, presenting novel products and solutions in the areas of civil protection and rescue services, firefighting, protective equipment and solutions in the area of civil protection. In the previous edition, the show received more than 150,000 visitors from all over the world.

MRC Continues to Promote Made in Malaysia Latex Products Through e-Global Sourcing Mission

Following the success of several sessions of e-Global Sourcing Mission (e-GSM) in 2021, MRC is set to organize the fifth e-GSM session, to be held from 7 – 10 June 2022.

e-GSM is a programme organised by MRC that offers online platform for global buyers to identify and meet with genuine Malaysian manufacturers to source quality rubber products from Malaysia.

The key rubber products that are promoted under this e-GSM are the latex based products which comprised of rubber medical devices, personal protective equipment, and latex foam and mattresses.

A total of 65 interested international buyers, importers and distributors have been confirmed to participate in this programme and meet up with the Malaysian manufacturers virtually.

MRC Presented Contributions Worth RM35,000 To Underprivileged Communities From Rubber Smallholders Family In Kelantan

Following the news coverage on Zawawi and Hakimi published on 9 Dec 2021 and 21 Jan 2022, MRC CEO, Nor Hizwan Ahmad presented contributions worth RM35,000 under Bantuan Prihatin MRC initiative to the underprivileged communities from the rubber smallholders family in Kelantan.

The assistance comprises essential daily necessities, financial aids and devices to facilitate online learning were presented during a ceremony in Pasir Mas, Kelantan on 13 Feb 2022.

Nor Hizwan also handed over food baskets to six less fortunate rubber smallholder families in Bachok, Kelantan. They were among 200 rubber smallholder families who received food basket donations worth RM20,000 from MRC.

MRC, MITI, MATRADE and MIDA reiterate our commitment to assist industry players to assess, adapt and adopt as well as to revive and develop their businesses further during the pandemic and so that they will remain competitive. The briefing attracted more than 80 participants.

MRC Promotes Malaysian Rubber Products and Introduces New Virtual Platform in Expo 2020 Dubai

MRC has successfully participated in the Agricommodity Week-17 at the Malaysia Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 23 - 29 January 2022 to promote a wide array of high quality Made in Malaysia rubber and rubber products. The Week-17 carried the theme of “Sustainable Agricommodity” that covered rubber, timber and kenaf sectors under the non-food category, led by the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities. There was a total of six Malaysian rubber products manufacturers and exporters participated with MRC under the rubber sector, namely Armcrest, Geomax Rubber, Duramedical, Mah Sing Healthcare, Pleasure Latex Products and Top Glove.

During the event, MRC also introduced its new rubber and rubber product virtual platform, the Malaysian Rubber Products Virtual Showcase (MaRViS), which was launched by YB Datuk Hajah Zuraida Kamaruddin, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Malaysia on the 24 January 2022 at the Malaysia Pavilion in the Expo 2020 Dubai. MaRViS hosted Malaysian rubber and rubber products manufacturers to showcase their products from seven categories, namely precured treads, latex foam and mattresses, engineered rubber products, specialty rubber materials, rubber medical devices, rubber gloves and rubber automotive components. The virtual platform will enable Malaysian rubber and rubber product manufacturers to promote their products online more effectively without geographical boundaries.

MRC's Successful Participation in Arab Health 2022

MRC has successfully participated in Arab Health 2022 which was held from 24 - 27 January 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. MRC Malaysia Pavilion was strategically located in Hall 8 and housed eight Malaysian rubber product companies as co-exhibitors, namely Hartalega, Supermax, Karex, Asap International, Biomax, Glove Resources, Mah Sing Healthcare and Tradecyanic. Another six Malaysian rubber product companies had participated on their own in the show. MRC Malaysia Pavilion received exceptional number of visitors to almost 5,000 people and received more than 2,000 trade enquiries throughout the event. MRC also facilitated nearly 100 business matching sessions between the potential buyers and Malaysian rubber medical devices companies. Furthermore, MRC enhanced its presence in Arab Health by having prominent advertisements at the main entrance and along the walkway from metro station to the trade centre to further promote Made in Malaysia rubber medical devices and attracting visitors' footfall to MRC Malaysia Pavilion. On the first day of the event, the Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Malaysia, YB Datuk Hajah Zuraidah Kamaruddin visited MRC Malaysia Pavilion to meet participating Malaysian companies in conjunction with her official visit to Dubai. The next edition of Arab Health will be held from 30 January - 2 February 2023.

Minister of MPIC Officially Launched The Agricommodity Regional Office in Jeddah

YB Datuk Hajah Zuraida Kamaruddin, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities has officially launched the agricommodity regional office in Jeddah yesterday, as part of her ministerial mission to Saudi Arabia.

The Commodities Integration Marketing Company (CIMC), the first of its kind in the Middle East, houses three government-linked organisations under one roof, namely Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC) and Malaysian Timber Council (MTC).

Also present were YB Dr Daroyah Alwi, Chairman of MRC, Izwan Zarik Sapari, Deputy CEO of MRC and Ahmad Nazri Abd Razak, Chief Representative of MRC Middle East.

Roundtable Discussion With Industry Members of Saudi Arabia

A roundtable discussion with representatives from palm oil, timber and rubber industries of Saudi Arabia and Malaysia was held yesterday at Amwaj Ballroom, Jeddah Hilton Hotel to discuss potential markets in the region for Malaysia’s agricommodity sector. It is in conjunction with the ministerial mission to Saudi Arabia, led by YB Datuk Hajah Zuraida Kamaruddin, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Malaysia. Also present was YB Dr. Daroyah binti Alwi, Chairman of MRC.

MRC To Participate in The World’s Mega Exhibition - Expo 2020 Dubai

The world expo which is held once every five years is taking place from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022 in the United Arab Emirates. This edition, known as the Expo 2020 Dubai with the theme, "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" embraces the idea that bringing the world together to catalyse an exchange of new perspectives and inspire action to deliver real life solutions to real world challenges.

The Malaysia Pavilion, themed “Energising Sustainability” is built with the inspiration of Malaysia’s majestic rainforest. YB Dato' Sri Dr. Wee Jeck Seng, Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities (MPIC) paid a courtesy visit to MRC today. The visit was concluded with a fruitful discussion with our CEO, Encik Nor Hizwan Ahmad, on initiatives to promote exports of local rubber products and ongoing challenges in the rubber industry. It was followed by a tour of MRC's gallery, led by our very own Marketing & Development Division.

MRC is looking forward to closer collaboration with MPIC, to strengthen Malaysian rubber products presence in the global scene.

MRC And Top Glove Discussed The Agenda For The Upcoming Inaugural Commercialisation Committee Meeting

Nor Hizwan Ahmad, CEO of MRC and YBhg. Dato’ Lee Kim Meow, Managing Director of Top Glove, discussed the agenda for the upcoming inaugural Commercialisation Committee Meeting at Top Glove Tower, today.

A visit to Top Glove R&D facility was later conducted by Top Glove Senior Team to showcase some of their product developments in the pipeline.

MRC is looking forward to work closely with Top Glove on the advancement agenda of rubber commercialisation towards greater achievement for the country.
