MRC led four Malaysian rubber products manufacturers and exporters, namely Fudex Rubber, ASAP International, Good Rubber Works and Top Glove participated in the Automechanika Shanghai held from 29 November - 2 December 2023 in Shanghai, China. There were also five other Malaysian rubber products companies participated on their own, namely Cooltec, HML Auto, Maxter Glove, Pro-Tec Marketing and Schmaco Auto Parts

MRC Promotes Rubber Medical Devices at the Global Leading Trade Fair

MRC led five Malaysian rubber medical devices (RMD) manufacturers and exporters, namely Biomax, Longcane Industries, Nulatex, Rubber Leisure, and TCS Quality and Productivity to participate in the world’s largest medical trade fair, MEDICA which was held from 13 – 16 November 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany. There were 5,372 companies exhibited at MEDICA this year, together with the 735 counterparts at COMPAMED 2023, a co-located event of medical technology industry. The show attracted a total of 83,000 healthcare professionals (up from 81,000 in 2022), about three quarters of the visitors were from 166 countries abroad. With the strong appeal to international visitors, high proportion of decision-makers, informative fringe programme and variety of innovations along the entire added value chain, MEDICA served as excellent platform for worldwide healthcare business and top-level exchange of expert knowledge. A wide array of Made in Malaysia RMD such as medical gloves, condoms and Foley catheters were featured along with prominent advertising put up by MRC at several locations including at the entrance of the venue and exhibition hall. The upcoming edition of this yearly trade fair is scheduled to take place from 11 to 14 November 2024.

MRC to Promote Quality Rubber Automotive Components in China

MRC together with four Malaysian rubber products manufacturers and exporters will be taking part in the Automechanika Shanghai (AMS), a trade fair for automotive parts, equipment and service suppliers. Scheduled to be held from 29 November - 2 December 2023, the 18th edition of AMS is anticipated to host more than 5,300 exhibitors in over 300,000 sqm of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

This year AMS will be presenting over 60 fringe events comprised of various forums and conferences, including the debut International Automotive Industry Conference which is anticipated as a major highlight of the show.

MRC Showcases High-Quality Rubber Automotive Components at AAPEX

MRC led Malaysian rubber product manufacturers and exporters to participate in AAPEX, held from 31 October – 2 November 2023 at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, USA. The show drew 46,000 trade visitors from 127 countries, making it the most successful edition to date.

MRC Malaysia Pavilion housed nine companies, namely Fudex, Kumpulan Jebco, Pro-Tec, Schmaco, Kossan Industries, Hartalega, Duramitt, Tekmedic and Top Glove.

MRC Malaysia Pavilion featured Malaysia as a reliable source of high-quality rubber automotive components, including rubber hoses, mountings, seals and gaskets, dust covers and bushings. Additionally, MRC also showcased specialty rubber materials such as Ekoprena and Pureprena, as well as industrial gloves. During the three-day event, MRC received encouraging number of trade leads predominantly from USA on Made in Malaysia rubber products, especially on moulded rubber parts, hoses, mounting and bushings as well as seals and gaskets.

MRC Leads Malaysian Manufacturers in World's Leading Workplace Safety Event

MRC led twelve personal protective equipment (PPE) manufacturers and exporters to participate in A+A, the world’s leading trade fair dedicated to workplace safety and health at the Messe Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre, Dusseldorf, Germany from 24 - 27 October 2023. Over 2,200 exhibiting companies from 58 countries presented their products and innovations in 12 halls on more than 80,300 square metres. A total of 62,000 trade visitors from 140 countries travelled to Düsseldorf to find out products and services that are concerning on their workplace during the four-day trade fair.

MRC Malaysia Pavilion housed 12 companies, namely Bonric, Central Medicare, Comfort Rubber Gloves, FWK Industry, Hartalega, Jr Engineering, KL-Kepong Rubber Products, Koon Seng, Kossan Latex Industries, Maxi Support, Nastah Industries and Top Glove.

MRC to Lead Malaysian SME in World's Largest Medical Trade Fair

MRC will be hosting five Malaysian small medium enterprise (SME) who are the manufacturers and exporters for rubber medical devices (RMD) to participate in the MEDICA exhibition. The exhibition is scheduled to be held from 13 - 16 November 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Additionally, a total of 16 Malaysian RMD manufacturers and exporters will also be participating at the show independently. As the world's largest annual event for the medical sector, MEDICA has attracted more than 81,000 visitors who explored the offerings of over 5,000 exhibitors last year. With a thriving history, it is anticipated an even greater number of participants in this year edition of MEDICA. In addition to the exhibition, multiple forums and conferences will take place simultaneously.

Promoting Made in Malaysia Engineered Rubber Products in Peru

MRC had a thriving debut participation in EXCON, an important trade exhibition and meeting platform for players in the Peruvian construction industry, from 18 – 21 October 2023 at the Jockey Exhibition Centre, Lima, Peru.

Organized by the Peruvian Chamber of Construction (CAPECO), EXCON hosted more than 260 exhibitors and visitors comprised of contractors, marketers, distributors, engineers, architects, construction masters, and project promoters in the world of construction. The show offered plenty of business opportunities as well as promoted knowledge through conferences, seminars, and technical talks.

MRC’s promotional booth featured Malaysia as the source for high-quality engineered rubber products, such as the High-Damping Natural Rubber Bearing (HDNRB), rubber bearing pad, expansion joint, dock fender and rail pad. MRC received a good number of trade enquiries on rubber bearings as well as industrial rubber gloves. The majority of visitors hailed from Peruvian companies, predominantly comprising of engineers and contractors.

MRC also presented a talk during the exhibition entitled ‘Build Safer, Sustainable Structures. Exploring New Markets for Latex Foam and Mattresses in South America

MRC delegation has successfully concluded a working visit to South America for latex foam and mattresses. The visit which covered São Paulo and Santa Catarina in Brazil and Santiago in Chile was held from 25 August – 7 September 2023 and received participation from Malaysian manufacturer, GETHA.

A total of twelve meetings were organized during the visit and the delegation met with eight leading mattress manufacturers in Brazil, namely Companhia Brasileira de Poliuretano (CBP), Copespuma Industrial, Flex Brazil, Duo Flex, Estofaria Imperio, Pikolin Brasil Industria De Colchoes, Orbhes Espumas e Colchoes, and Bell’arte. In Chile, four meetings were arranged with Companias CIC, Gooday, Domo Cama Sofa and SKC Insumos. Retails visits were also made to various mattress outlets in both countries, namely Grupo Alpha Colchoes, Sleephouse, Celta and Rosen to conduct market survey. As part of the visit, the delegation also paid a courtesy call to the Malaysian ambassador to Chile, His Excellency Abu Bakar Mamat.

MRC successfully identified promising collaboration opportunities in the mattress industry in Brazil and Chile through the visit with many of the local companies met expressing their interest to source for quality latex foam, pillows and mattresses from Malaysia.

MRC Leads Malaysian Manufacturers to Explore New Opportunities in Mexico

MRC, together with Malaysian manufacturers have successfully completed participation in the 14th edition of Expo Med Mexico, which was held from 30 August – 1 September 2023 at Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City. The event attracted more than 5,000 visitors and over 100 exhibitors from different countries. The show is the leading event in medical devices, equipment and technology in Mexico.

MRC led four rubber medical devices manufacturers and exporters, namely Hartalega, Kossan Latex Industries, Longcane Industries and Top Glove participated at the show. The MRC Malaysia Pavilion received encouraging number of visitors and enquiries throughout the event. MRC showcased high-quality Made in Malaysia rubber medical devices and facilitated multiple business matching sessions between the potential buyers and Malaysian manufacturers on-site. The most enquired products were latex and nitrile examination gloves, followed by surgical gloves, dental gloves and rubber catheters.

The Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC) invites Malaysian contractors to participate in a tender briefing on booth design and construction of MRC pavilion at Arab Health 2024.

Only prequalified booth contractors are eligible to participate in the tender briefing. The criteria for Prequalification of Booth Contractors are as follows:-

• Must be a registered company with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM)


• Company must be established for at least 3 years


• At least 2 years of experience in handling international trade shows


• Experience in designing and constructing custom-made booths in at least 6 projects for international trade shows


• Proven track record in designing and constructing custom-made booths in the requested exhibition and/or country will be an added advantage.


• Not suspended from participating in the booth construction and design tenders by MRC

Successful Virtual Business Matching Between Global Buyers and Malaysian Manufacturers

MRC has concluded the eighth edition of virtual business matching programme, known as the e-Global Sourcing Mission (e-GSM), held from 8 - 11 August 2023. Through this e-GSM programme, MRC had successfully coordinated for 107 productive meeting sessions, bringing together 38 international prospective buyers and 17 Malaysian rubber product manufacturers and exporters. The buyers hailed from different regions, including Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe, and Americas who were interested to source for various Made in Malaysia high-quality rubber products, such as rubber medical devices, personal protective equipment as well as latex foam and mattresses.

MRC and Malaysian manufacturers participated in INTERPHEX Japan which was held from 5 - 7 July 2023 at the Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo, Japan. About 894 exhibitors participated in the Asia’s leading pharmaceutical exhibition to showcase the latest products and technologies in material processing, packaging, plant engineering, laboratory/analysis, sterilization/cleanroom, contract manufacturing and process measurement/inspection. A total of 27,826 visitors were received throughout the three-day event.

Positive Response on Made in Malaysia Rubber Automotive Components in Colombia

MRC successfully concluded its maiden participation in Expopartes, one of the largest auto parts fairs in Latin America, held from 21 - 23 June 2023 at the Corferias Exhibition Center in Bogotá, Colombia. The event, which featured over 500 exhibitors from over 20 countries, highlighted the latest trends and technologies in the automotive industry.

MRC's promotional booth featured Malaysia as a reliable source of high-quality rubber automotive components, including rubber hoses, mountings, seals and gaskets, dust covers and many more. Additionally, MRC also showcased specialty rubber materials such as the Ekoprena and Pureprena, as well as industrial gloves. During the three-day event, MRC received encouraging number of trade leads predominantly from Colombia on Made in Malaysia rubber products especially on moulded rubber parts, seals, and gaskets as well as industrial gloves.

Expopartes not only served as a platform for industry innovations but also to promote awareness among the trade visitors. In collaboration with the civic authority, National Police, together with the automotive sector players relaunched the campaign which titled "I sell well, I sell legal, buy well, buy legal". The campaign aimed to discourage illegal practices such as smuggling, trademark counterfeiting, and the purchase of stolen or illegally resold automotive parts. By promoting the purchase of legal products, the campaign seeks to combat these detrimental practices that have been a threat in the country.

The next edition of Expopartes will be held in 2024 at Medellin while in 2025 it will be held again at Bogota, Colombia.

MRC Leads Malaysian Manufacturer Exploring Turkiye Market for Precured Treads

MRC has successfully concluded a working visit to Turkiye from 18 – 24 June 2023 to explore opportunities for precured treads. The visit was participated by a Malaysian precured tread manufacturer, namely Kayel Rubber Industries. The working visit programme covered the city of Istanbul and Ankara. MRC and Malaysian manufacturer met six Turkish tyre retreaders, namely Marmara Lastik, Baysal Oto Lastik, Tatko Lastik, Brisa Bridgestone, Marmara Otomotiv and AKO Lastik Kaplama. A meeting was also held with the Turkish Tyre Retreader Association for further insights into the precured treads industry in Turkiye.

The visit has enabled the delegates to identify new areas of possible collaboration in the tyre retreading industry in Turkiye. This working visit has also allowed MRC to promote quality Malaysian precured treads and retreading materials to the Turkish market..

MRC Successfully Connected International Buyers with Malaysian Manufacturers Through Online Business Matching

MRC has recently conducted the seventh edition of online business matching programme, namely the e-Global Sourcing Mission (e-GSM) from 13 - 15 June 2023. Through the e-GSM programme, MRC had successfully arranged 21 meeting sessions between 10 international potential buyers with 10 Malaysian rubber product manufacturers. Majority of the buyers were from the United States, China, India, and Egypt. The buyers were interested to source Made in Malaysia quality rubber products, including rubber automotive components, precured treads and retreading materials as well as specialty rubber materials such as Ekoprena and Pureprena.

MRC is set to lead five Malaysian rubber cleanroom product manufacturers and exporters, namely ASAP International, Bonric, Comfort Rubber Gloves, GFM World and Microclean Tech Rubber to participate in INTERPHEX Japan which will take place at the Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo, Japan from 5 – 7 July 2023.

INTERPEHX Japan is Japan's largest exhibition for pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturing/packaging technologies. With 24 years of history, INTERPHEX Japan is known as the best business platform to network with the leading players from pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries in Japan and Asia. MRC will organize a working visit on precured treads to Turkiye from 18 - 24 June 2023. The visit is focusing on possible joint collaboration between Malaysian precured tread manufacturers and Turkish tyre retreaders, importers and distributors.

Several meetings have been arranged in Istanbul and Ankara to explore new business opportunities for Malaysian manufacturers in the tyre retreading market in Turkiye. The meetings will also provide a good platform for MRC to promote high-quality precured treads and retreading materials from Malaysia.

The 27th edition of Expopartes is scheduled to take place from 21 - 23 June 2023 at the Corferias Exhibition Center in Bogotá, Colombia. Organized by the Association of the Automotive Sector and its Parties (ASOPARTES), the show is expected to attract approximately 27,000 professional visitors, including owners, managers, and technicians of mechanical and vehicle repair workshops, auto parts and accessories stores, as well as car and motorcycle dealers.

The 2023 edition is also set to feature the Center of Experiences and Technologies for service workshops, automotive diagnostic centres, and dealers by providing a unique and specialized space for demonstrating the state-of-the-art technologies and equipment for diagnosis, service and lubrication. Successful Participation in CMEF Spring with Malaysian Exporters

MRC has successfully participated in the China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), Spring edition held from 14 - 17 May 2023 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Shanghai, China. Nearly 5,000 domestic and foreign exhibitors from the entire healthcare industry chain showcased tens of thousands of cutting-edge products and thousands of new products were released during the exhibition. More than 220,000 visitors from over 120 countries, including various medical institutions and distribution agents, attended the event for business exchanges and cooperation negotiations.

MRC Malaysia Pavilion housed eight rubber medical device manufacturers and exporters, namely A1 Globe, Biomax, GFM World, Glomaxes, Longcane, Supermax, Tan Sin Lian and Top Glove. There were another five Malaysian companies participated on their own at the exhibition, namely Filta Safety, Hartalega, NS Unigloves, Joleda and WRP. The pavilion received encouraging number of visitors and enquiries throughout the four-day event. MRC facilitated multiple business matching sessions between the potential buyers and Malaysian manufacturers and exporters on-site. A potential sales of RM27 million to be realized in the next 12 months were reported by the participating companies.

After more than 40 years of establishment, the China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) has now become one of the world's leading global integrated service platforms in the entire value chain of medical devices, covering products and technology, new product launches, procurement and trade, scientific collaboration, academic forums, brand promotion, education, and training.

MRC will be leading eight Malaysian rubber medical device manufacturers and exporters, namely A1 Globe, Biomax, GFM World, Glomaxes, Longcane, Supermax, Top Glove and TSL Industries to participate in CMEF Spring 2023. The show will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Shanghai, China from 14 – 17 May 2023. CMEF Spring 2023 is expected to gather more than 4,000 exhibitors from over 20 countries and receive over 200,000 visitors. MRC Promotes Rubber Automotive Components at Automechanika Kuala Lumpur

MRC successfully concluded its participation in Automechanika Kuala Lumpur, one of the leading automotive trade events for ASEAN market, held from 16 – 18 March 2023 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur. Set with a unique S.E.T (Sourcing, Entertainment and Training) concept, the event drew around 8,000 visitors and hosted 330 exhibitors from 17 countries namely Australia, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mauritius, Oman, Poland, Singapore, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States of America.

MRC’s promotional booth showcased a wide array of quality Made in Malaysia rubber products including rubber automotive components, precured treads and retreading materials, green rubber such as Ekoprena and Pureprena as well as various industrial gloves at the show. During the three-day event, MRC booth received encouraging number of quality trade leads and visitors from different countries such as Korea, China, Singapore, USA and Germany. Several Malaysian rubber product manufacturers also participated in the event on their own, namely Best Form Brake Manufacture, Cooltec Industries, Kossan Industries, Pro-Tec Wire Industries and Schmaco Auto Parts Industries.

In conjunction with participation at the show, MRC conducted a Global Sourcing Mission (GSM) for international buyers to source for quality rubber products from Malaysia. A total of 21 business matching sessions including three factory visits were successfully coordinated between seven potential buyers and 11 Malaysian manufacturers.

The next edition of Automechanika Kuala Lumpur is scheduled to be held from 8 – 10 May 2025.

Promotion of Quality Precured Treads at Tyrexpo Asia

MRC successfully concluded its maiden participation in Tyrexpo Asia, one of the leading tyre exhibitions in Asia, held from 8 - 10 March 2023 at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore. The event drew more than 5,000 visitors and 200 exhibitors from various countries. MRC’s promotional booth had showcased Malaysia as the source for high-quality precured treads as well as retreading materials which include cushion gum, camelback, orbitread, repair rope, and sidewall veneer. Specialty rubber materials (green rubber) such as Ekoprena and Pureprena, and rubber automotive components were also featured at the MRC’s booth. Several Malaysian precured tread manufacturers participated on their own at the show, namely Sun Rubber, Kayel, Max Rubber and Eversafe Rubber. During the three-day event, MRC received encouraging number of quality trade leads for Made in Malaysia rubber products.

To further enhance the presence of MRC at the show as well as MRC's commitment in promoting high-quality precured treads, an eye-catching advertisement was strategically positioned at the main entrance of the exhibition hall to garner visitor’s footfall to MRC booth. The Minister (Economic) from the High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore, Ms. Kavitha Mathuvay visited MRC's booth and engaged an insightful discussion with participating Malaysian precured tread manufacturers at the show.

The next edition of Tyrexpo Asia is scheduled to be held in 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand.

MRC to Promote Rubber Automotive Components in Automechanika Kuala Lumpur

MRC will be participating in the Automechanika Kuala Lumpur (AMKL), one of the leading automotive trade events for ASEAN market that will bring together around 300 exhibitors and 8,000 visitors from all over the globe under one roof. The show is scheduled to be held for three days from 16 - 18 March 2023 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The show is dedicated to showcase the transformation of manufacturing, electrification and services of Malaysian automotive industry that play a vital role in capturing global market attention and trend. Fringe activities such as workshops, training programs, entertainment, conferences, and discussions with the industry professionals will also be organized during the show.

MRC will be featuring various rubber products such as rubber automotive components, precured treads and retreading materials, green rubber and industrial gloves at the show. MRC will be making very first appearance at the Tyrexpo Asia to promote Malaysia's well-established high-quality rubber products, especially precured treads and retreading materials. MRC will also support and facilitate Malaysian precured tread manufacturers and exporters, namely Sun Rubber Industry, Eversafe Rubber Works, Maxrubber Industries and Kayel Rubber Products, who are also exhibiting at the show.

Tyrexpo Asia is one of the leading tyre exhibitions in Asia covering Truck and Bus Radial (TBR), Off the Road (OTR), and Passenger Car Radial (PCR). It will take place at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore from 8 - 10 March 2023. The show is anticipating approximately 6,000 potential buyers across Asia, presenting leading and emerging international and regional suppliers in the tyre, equipment, tools and tyre accessories with the latest technology and equipment and best practices.

MRC Leads Highest Industry Participation Ever in Arab Health

MRC has successfully participated in Arab Health from 30 January - 2 February 2023 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, UAE. More than 3,000 exhibitors from over 70 countries showcased innovative new healthcare technologies at the largest gathering of healthcare companies, technology and products in the MENA region. MRC Malaysia Pavilion housed 17 rubber medical devices (RMD) manufacturers and exporters, the highest number of Malaysian rubber industry members participation in an exhibition led by MRC. The MRC Malaysia Pavilion showcased wide range of high-quality rubber medical devices such as medical gloves, condoms and rubber catheters. There were another three Malaysian RMD companies participated on their own at the exhibition.

MRC Malaysia Pavilion received encouraging number of visitors of more than 4,700 visitors throughout the four-day event. MRC has also successfully facilitated 80 business matching sessions between the potential buyers and Malaysian manufacturers on-site. Participating manufacturers and exporters at the MRC Malaysia Pavilion reported encouraging outcomes with potential sales of RM107 million to be realized in the next 12 months.

Furthermore, a transformative talk session organized by MRC on-site on the first day of the exhibition entitled “Malaysian Glove Manufacturers: Global Leaders in Innovative and Sustainable Rubber Gloves” has received an outstanding number of turnouts of over 90 participants. The talk was presented by Dr Supramaniam, president of Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA).

The next edition of Arab Health is scheduled to be held from 29 January – 1 February 2024 at the same venue.

MRC to Lead Malaysian Manufacturers in the Largest Healthcare Expo in Middle East

The 2023 edition of Arab Health will return to the Dubai World Trade Centre from 30 January - 2 February 2023 with the theme, 'Innovation and Sustainability in Healthcare'. Arab Health is the largest healthcare exhibition in the Middle East that brings together key stakeholders to collaborate and make healthcare a more sustainable and positive impact industry through sustainable and innovative solutions. This year event is expected to receive over 3,000 exhibitors from 70 countries and 51,090 live visitors. MRC will be leading 17 rubber medical device manufacturers and exporters from Malaysia under the MRC Malaysia Pavilion.

In conjunction with this participation, MRC will also arrange a transformative talk entitled “Malaysia Glove Manufacturers: Global Leaders in Innovative and Sustainable Rubber Gloves” to be presented by Dr Supramaniam, president of Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA).
